- Confused, she slowly made her way to you and just stood there, in front of you for some good seconds.
- Until you eventually ask her if there’s something wrong
- She comes back to reality and replaces a strand of hair behind her ear and manages to say: « Well, I think that you’re sitting at my table… »
- « Oh, I-I’m sorry, then. I didn’t know that you guys already had assigned tables. » you reply while you start to gather your things, ready to leave. « No, no, it’s fine. I guess I’ll just sit somewhere else, » she says as she gently presses your hands down with hers. « You’re sure ? » you ask, still a bit confused. She nodded: « Yeah, I’m sure. See you later? » she quickly states while she walks away, towards the front of the class, her books pressed against her chest. « Yeah, I guess. » you breathe.
- She turned around and glanced at you many times during that class
- As soon as she noticed that you finally had your own compliments box, she waited for you to leave the classroom and discreetly put her own compliment in your box.
- The next day, you went to check it out and read the only one you received: « You’re really pretty. I wish I had the courage to ask for your number… »
- You immediately turned around, just to see if you could catch anyone starring at you. When your gaze met Jessica’s, you smiled and she looked down (she countlessly damned herself for being caught) but finally smiled after a minute.
- She didn’t really know what was happening to her but she liked it.
- Shy Jessica at the beginning of your relationship
- Dates at Monet’s
- Lots of cuddles, hugs, and kisses
- She’s clingy
- But so are you
- Her mom loves you, she thinks you’re really pretty and so sweet with her daughter

80 likes compared to 10 reblogs means that only 12% of people decided that what you did is worth showing other people.

If you like the thing, reblog it. You don’t even have to add tags, just spread it so that a) other people can see it, and b) the creator gets recognition for what they did.

Obviously, those numbers are never going to match, but the divide should not be that huge.

It’s even more important right now, because tumblr is garbage and they’ve stopped allowing anything with an outside link from appearing in tags. Writers/artists cannot tag things to their twitter/store/writing website. That can cause a significant drop in views, especially for newer creators.

Like… we aren’t asking for much. A few reblogs. Reviews/comments. No creator should have to beg for that much.

So the creators say the target audience wasn’t suicidal people? As if suicidal people magically won’t watch it, even though it’s only a click away?

That’s basically like handing a gun to a suicidal person and saying, “Even though you have access to this and can technically use it at any point - even though you want to use it because you’re in pain - it’s not intended for you.”

You know what Thirteen Reasons Why is for suicidal people? It’s a way to self harm. Maybe we know it’s bad. Maybe we know it will hurt us, so we avoid it most of the time. But when those thoughts come and we just want to give in to that darkness, do you know what Thirteen Reasons Why is? It’s a way to hurt ourselves. I saw it pop up on Netflix the other night as I was struggling and thought that maybe I should just watch it, because right then I didn’t care. For a minute, I wanted it to trigger me.

So don’t you dare ever say that it’s harmless. Don’t you dare say it’s not hurting people who deal with self harm and suicide, because it is. I’m even in a much healthier place than I was a couple months ago, and it’s still hurting me.
